PURE MAPLE SUGAR
HEALTHIER SUGAR ALTERNATIVE
Our maple sugar is made from 100% maple sap and unlike table sugar or other sugar alternatives, it does contain minerals and antioxidants.
FINE TEXTURE
Boiling the syrup with a precise balance of cook temperature, mixing speed, and cooling produces a fine textured powdered sugar. A perfect sugar substitute in any recipe.
HIGH QUALITY
To be able to produce great tasting maple sugar, we spent a lot of time teaming up with local farms that we trust. We would never sell syrup, nor turn it into sugar, if we wouldn't be willing to put it on our own waffles in the morning!

OXIDANTS
1 maple tree with 2 taps in a full season will poduce ~25 gallon of sap
The general rule of thumb is that it takes 50 parts maple sap to produce 1 part maple syrup.
When refined, the sugar fills about 1/3rd of a gallon, representing 4 small 8oz. bags of refined sugar
EVEN IF EVERYTHING IS DONE PERFECTLY
~30% OF A CROP WILL TASTE AWFUL
because in the late season the metabolism of the trees changes and this results in a funky flavor. We won't use this part, trust us!
To avoid the funky flavor and produce quality sugar
WE SOURCE LOCALLY FROM FARMERS THAT WE TRUST,
who know what we need/like & are willing to deliver it.
BUT WHO ARE WE?
Graduate of Southern New Hampshire University and 16 years experience in online retail. After working a variety of jobs from management, to construction, to door-to-door sales I finally decided what I want to be when I grow up. I want to live the American dream homesteading in the middle of the woods. I am a maple aficionado, all around passionate foodie, and lover of New England and the outdoors.
-Jon Amirault, cofounder of A&A maple sugar
I spent many years working as a program manager for a large employer. Holding degrees in aerospace and systems engineering, I don't think I am your traditional food producer. Yet I have always been an entrepreneur and foodie. In middle school I ran a candy store out of my backpack and still posses the drive to create a lasting business today.
